A Song That I Used To Love But Now Hate (dislike, really, not hate)

Day 16 of the 30-day music challenge
It really depends on my current playlist. It changes very easily.

Poetic Tragedy by The Used

This song used to be the anthem of my teenage years. Then I got older and I’ve come to understand that the song is as not as profound as I had imagined it to be hahaha It’s still a great song, but I’ve grown out of it. I think The Used feel the same way too.

A Song That Reminds Me Of A Certain Event

Day 7 of the 30-day music challenge
It really depends on my current playlist. It changes very easily.

All day along with you in every minute left seems to be an endless conversation in any words. And time will come to everyone. Will you believe in destiny? You will see. Will you believe? There’s nothing to fear. An angel with me when I leave my shadow to universe. Don’t follow me on. To the world I would be. So long. It’s a glorious time. Glorious time.
(Glorious Time by The Adams)

There was a movie competition in high school. My friends and I got so excited though none of us had any idea how to operate a handycam. We made a short movie anyway. It’s about two basketball teams fighting over the right to use the field. It was silly LMAO In the end, friendship and sincerity won LOL I made specific request to use this song for the ending credit, along with a slideshow of behind the scene stills. I’m always teary whenever I watch this particular footage.

I remember the way you glanced at me, yes I remember. I remember when we caught a shooting star, yes I remember. I remember all the things that we shared, and the promise we made, just you and I. I remember all the laughter we shared, all the wishes we made, upon the roof at dawn. Do you remember when we were dancing in the rain in that December? And I remember when my father thought you were a burglar. I remember the way you read your books. Yes I remember the way you tied your shoes. Yes I remember, the cake you loved the most. Yes I remember, the way you drank your coffee. I remember the way you glanced at me, yes I remember. When we caught a shooting star, yes I remember. When we were dancing in the rain in that December. And the way you smile at me, yes I remember.
(I Remember by Mocca)

What else it reminds you of other than high school? Listening to this song, I feel like my old high school is stretched vividly on my mind. I can see every corner where we laughed, cried, and fought. And most of all, I remember everything we did under the sun in the middle of the field.

Let me be the one who calls you baby all the time. Surely you can take some comfort knowing that you’re mine. Just hold me tight, lay by my side, and let me be the one who calls you baby all the time. I found my place in the world. Could stare at your face for the rest of my days. Now I can breathe, turn my insides out and smother me. Warm and alive I’m all over you. Would you smother me? Let me be the one who never leave you all alone. I hold my breath and lose the feeling that I’m on my own. Hold me too tight, stay by my side, and let me be the one who calls you baby all the time. When I’m alone time goes so slow. I need you here with me. And how my mistakes have made your heart break. Still I need you here with me. Baby, I’m here.
(Smother Me by The Used)

Ah… I remember sitting in a car with a certain someone under the rain on the side of a quiet street.
